LARGEMOUTH BASS

The largemouth bass population continues to be defined by a high percentage of fish from 8 – 10 inches with some fish up to 14 inches. An additional stocking of adult bass occurred in the spring of 2022. This stocking was a group of 40 brood bass that were being retired from Jake Wolf Fish Hatchery. With an average size of 4 pounds, these fish should provide some great fishing action as well as introduce a larger size class of bass that previously did not exist in the lake. The collection rate was 116/hr, which indicates a high density of Largemouth Bass population.

Description: The lake is on a 13.5 acre property and is a 4 acre lake that is open to the public for fishing. It has a paved parking lot.

History and Status of the Sport Fishery: This lake was enrolled in the IDNR Cooperative Fish Management Program in 2020.
