Species

Rank

Fish Status

BLUEGILL

Excellent

The 2017 survey shows very high bluegill numbers. The size distribution of the bluegill collected is very good. The condition of the bluegill collected was very good.

CHANNEL CATFISH

Very Good

The channel catfish population is very impressive. Channel catfish were collected in high numbers with very good sizes and condition in the 2017 survey.

CRAPPIE

Good

White crappie were collected in low numbers in the 2017 survey. The white crappie collected were 7-8.5 inches and showed poor condition. Two black crappie were also collected of similar size and condition. There is likely good populations of white and black crappie present in the lake. However, due to the time of year this survey was completed, it is not likely a representative sample of the true crappie populations.

LARGEMOUTH BASS

Good

The largemouth bass numbers are up from the previous survey, but are still a little lower than our goal. The bass collected in the 2017 survey show a good size distribution and there are good numbers of larger fish. There is a decent number of smaller fish. Natural reproduction and recruitment may be a little low and limiting this population.

History and Status of the Sport Fishery: Overall the lake has very good populations of multiple sport fish.
